Stone the Crows
The Sunday papers will make uncomfortable reading for rail union boss - Bob Crow - the leader of the RMT.
Apparently while enjoying a pay package worth £145,000 a year - Bob lives in a housing association home.
Or to put things more bluntly as Bob would himself - he lives in publicly subsidised social housing aimed at low income families.
Well, well - stone the crows, as they say .
The Sunday Times calculates that the RMT boss has saved himself around £80,000 in rent since 2001 - by living in cheaper social housing.
A spokesperson for the RMT said that their leader was in a 'no win' position - because if Bob was living in a 'mansion' he would still be getting stick - presumably from the press.
But of course that's sidestepping the point - no one's saying the only two available choices are subsidised social housing or a millionaire's mansion.
There's plenty to choose from in between - and this of course would also have the benefit of freeing up a desirable property - for a low income family.
