Double Standards
The Labour party in Scotland is apparently planning a massive leaflet blitz - on Freedom of Information - with 250,000 leaflets being delivered to people's homes.
Now since the party is permanently broke - it's fair to assume that the trade unions are paying for this extravaganza - out of the funds collected from ordinary union members.
What's the cost?
No one knows or no one's saying - but you would be unlikely to get much change out of £250,000.
The FOI issue that's got Labour so hot under the collar relates to the SNP government of course - and the alleged costs of introducing a local income tax to replace the council tax.
But the obvious question is - 'Why do Labour and the trade unions turn a blind eye to issues that are much closer to home - much more relevant to ordinary union members?'
Lots of Labour led councils have withheld information about equal pay - deliberately keeping their women workers in the dark - about the huge pay differences between male and female jobs.
South Lanarkshire Council is still doing so - but not a cheep out of Labour politicians or the trade unions - of course.
