Eve of Destruction

As expected, Judgement Day turned out to be a bit of a damp squib - again.

No sign of a massive earthquake - or the world falling apart to punish all the sinners - and no sign of all the born-again true believers being 'raptured' up into Heaven.

But what else did you expect - because all this born again religious hysteria is really just a business - a racket intended to exploit the feeble minded.

The old crook behind the scam - Harold Camping - has apparently built a multi-million dollar industry around his evangelising about the world coming to a terrible end.

And according to reports - the 89 year old preacher is $73 million richer today than he was only yesterday - on the Eve of Destruction.

Now what I what to know is this:

'How can someone who expects to be raptured up into Heaven tomorrow - be making arrangements for his bank accounts still to be working the day after the Apocalypse?'

As the old saying goes - you can't take  it with you.
