The Blame Game

The blame game inside Scottish Labour is now in full swing - with a long line of people queuing up to say what an atrocious campaign the party ran in the Scottish elections.

As ever, there are some 'brave' individuals willing to speak up, but only from the shadows - witness the following comments reported in today's Scotman.

"A Labour MP, who asked to remain anonymous, heavily criticised the election campaign and the party's group of MSPs in the Scottish Parliament.

He said: They (MSPs] are hopeless. "They haven't been campaigning properly for the last four years, which is why none of them realised what was going to hit them.

Our press and communications team were hopeless. We need to see what we have to offer in Holyrood. At the moment it's nothing.

The campaign was profoundly disappointing, and there is now a big challenge ahead for the Labour Party in Scotland."

Now all this back stabbing and in-fighting simply confirms that the Scottish Labour party is completely dysfunctional - with many of its Westminster MPs having nothing but contempt for their MSP colleagues in Holyrood.

Which is why the voters were right to tell the party to sling its hook - in last week's Scottish elections.

Now the following advice is likely to fall on deaf ears - but the brothers and sisters would learn something - if they paid more attention to the wise words of Abraham Lincoln who once said:

'A house divided against itself - cannot stand'.
