How to Complain
I received an e-mail from an exxcited reader yesterday - asking how I managed to get in touch so easily with the Chairman of BT - Sir Michael Rake.
Easy peasy - as they say.
Now I am not on first names terms with any knights of the realm - sad to say.
So all I did was track down an e-mail address - for contacting said Chairman - which was easily down with a bit of investigative work on the BT web site.
First of all find our who's on the Board of Directors - which you can normally do via the corporate governance section - of any big organisation's web site.
Then track down a personal e-mail address for the person - or just send them a letter (by e-mail) addressed personally to the Chairperson of the Board.
In this particular case BT.
I always find that you get better results when you go to the top banana in an organisation - instead of having to fight your way through all the undergrowth.
All it takes is a little bit of imagination and perseverance - but it's worth the effort in the end.
