Czech Kicks Ass
One of the more unusual news stories I read at the weekend - involved a real life Kick Ass figure from the Czech Republic.
The self-styled vigilante goes by the name of - Super Vaclav - and sure cuts a bit of a dash in his black boots, red top, light blue pants and dark blue cape.
All of which are rounded by knee pads, elbow pads, plastic codpiece and white helmet - from which we can deduce that this particular super hero - takes health and safety very seriously.
Super Vaclav fights anti-social behaviour in the beautiful city of Prauge - the Czech capital - where he has become the nemesis of dog foulers, drug dealers, illicit smokers and graffiti artists.
Along with able bodied people who park in disabled parking bays - and lazy citizens who won't help save the planet and refuse to recycle their rubbish.
In other words Super Vaclav gets after the kind of people - who routinely break the rules and generally get up other folks' noses.
Super Vaclav is a big hit on You Tube apparently - though I have yet to check this out.
Among his most popular feats is a film which shows SV patrolling a public park and pelting a dirty dog owner - with his pet's mess.
"Now take it home with you" - SV reportedly tells the owner - which is truly amazing because that's something I've always wanted to do myself.
Maybe if I get more time to myself - I'll become Glasgow's answer to Super Vaclav.
After all as the great man says - " I believe our country needs a super hero".
