Holywood Comes to Town
George Square is certainly worth a visit these days - given that Holywood's come to town to film Brad Pitt in World War Z.
The east side of the square - i.e. the main entrance to the City Chambers - is blocked to traffic along with Cochrane Street.
Much of the road space is taken up with period American cars and Big Yellow taxis of Joni Mitchell fame - which look to me like they come from the 1980s - but then I'm no expert on motor vehicles.
Like most film sets nothing happens for hours - then there's a big splurge of activity.
So to see anything exciting you'll either have to be very lucky or very patient - but it's definitely worth a visit - to see a small slice of Holywood right in the centre of Glasgow.
Lots of people taking pictures - as you would imagine - though no zombies that I could see.
Or maybe I just can't tell the difference.
