Instead of keeping Michael Matheson out of sight and out of mind - for some mad reason John Swinney chose to put Morocco Mike front and centre of his pitch to voters.

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
