Glasgow, Sex Pests and the SNP

The SNP's woeful handling of the sex pest affair involving Patrick Grady - the SNP MP for Glasgow North - is another good reason to boot him and the SNP out of Glasgow on July 4th.

SNP and Sex Pests - Zero Tolerance My Arse! (March 12, 2023)

Here's a series of posts from the blog archive which prove the SNP's claim to be a party of 'zero tolerance' on sexual harassment is just bunkum, political spin and hot air.

SNP, Sex Pests and Zero Tolerance (December 30, 2022)

Nicola Sturgeon praises Westminster for issuing an SNP MP with a paltry two-day suspension from the House of Commons after he was found to have made an 'unwanted sexual advance' towards a young member of staff.

The SNP itself took no action against the perpetrator, Patrick Grady, but sent his young victim, a party employee, to Coventry!

Zero Tolerance and 'Wheeshting For Indy' (July 24, 2022)

The SNP's policy of 'zero tolerance' look like empty words  after its embarrassing handling of the Patrick Grady affair.

The party hierarchy's instinct is to close ranks instead of investigating allegations speedily, without fear or favour, and this 'wheeshting for indy' nonsense is part of the problem.

SNP's Shameful Gagging Clause (July 08, 2022)

The young victim of the Patrick Grady sex pest scandal says the party's handling of the situation puts the SNP to shame.

I couldn't agree more and it's high time the SNP's absurd 'wheeshtingforindy' gagging clause on party activists was put to the sword.

SNP Politicians - Speaking Up vs 'Wheeshtingforindy' (July 04, 2022)

What strikes me about the latest sexual harassment stories at Westminster is that Conservative MPs seem to speak up about alleged bad behaviour by fellow MPs.

Whereas SNP MPs seem to clam up and and 'wheeshtforindy' - apart from one courageous SNP member, of course, who leaked the recording of nationalist MPs rallying round a perpetrator while showing no concern for the victim.

So what does this say about the culture inside the SNP that the leaker had to act anonymously, presumably  because of the risk of reprisals and punishment from the SNP party hierarchy?
