Double-Dealing and 'Honest John'

Andy Wightman is spot on about the shameful role John Swinney is playing by refusing to accept the judgment of the Holyrood Standards Committee. 

"For Mr Swinney to ignore the cross-party unanimity on these uniquely serious conclusions in order to pretend that the process as a whole was discredited by the advance “prejudice” of a Tory MSP is utterly bizarre; the posture of a small-minded partisan whose tribal loyalty transcends any sense of proportion or respect for the institution."

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
