Methinks The SNP Protest Too Much!

Gina Davidson shines a light on John Swinney's baloney attack on Holyrood's standards committee with a quote from a Scottish Parliament spokesperson:

“At the point of considering its approach to the SPCB report, the Committee discussed previous public comment and questions asked by Members in the Chamber. No concerns were raised by any member of the Committee.” 

The SCBP (Scottish Parliament Corporate Body) conducted the investigation and determined the facts, the Standards Committee decided the penalty, if any, to impose - and the SNP members agreed with the principle of a financial penalty and suspension from Holyrood.

All of which means 'Honest John' is full of baloney and is making a big mistake with his defence of Morocco Mike.

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
