Resign!
One of the more peculiar suggestions to arise out of the Scottish independence debate in that David Cameron, the Prime Minister and Conservative Party leader, should resign if Scotland votes Yes on 18 September 2014.
Now if you ask me, Cameron has shown real leadership on the question of a referendum by agreeing to hold one in the first place and putting the issue to the Scottish people.
Which is a lot more than his immediate predecessor, Gordon Brown, was prepared to do while he was in No. 10 Downing Street with an overall majority of MPs in the House of Commons.
Yet Gordon, the sometime MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, is now being recast as a 'star striker' for the Better Together campaign despite the fact that he ducked the issue when he had the perfect opportunity to put it to the test.
