Peter Brookes in The Times caught the public mood well I thought in the aftermath of the Euro elections with this portrayal of French President, Francois Hollande, about to have a bucket of shit dumped on his head by Marine Le Pen, leader of the racist Front National.

 Now the people may have spoken in France as elsewhere, but I wouldn't get too carried away because Francois Hollande and his Socialist Party are at an all time low, managing only 14% of the popular vote, yet the Front National is still a very long sway from achieving political power.

 Time for action rather than panic I would say and the French President needs to face up to the fact that his programme for government has gone horribly wrong.
