Calling South Lanarkshire


The settlement with South Lanarkshire Council has gone very smoothly, despite the large number (3,000+) of people involved, but the office has been unable to contact the following Action 4 Equality Scotland clients

  2. Graham McDonald
  3. Helen Lennon
  4. Janice Crosbie
  5. Joanne Egan
  6. Linda Leask
  7. Linda Meechan
  8. Matthew Murray
  9. Surinder Sarai
In some cases letters sent out by Fox and Partners Solicitors have been returned, so people may have changed address without advising us and the Council cannot assist where individuals are no longer employed by the Council. 

In another case a claimant had died, but their family were not aware of the ongoing equal pay claim which would otherwise become part of the deceased person's estate.

Sadly, if they don't get in touch it will not be possible to progress their settlements any further.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
