Expect the Unexpected
The old crocodile that is Rupert Murdoch has wrong-footed his opponents again.
As the vultures gathered with their baleful warnings that the Dirty Digger was about to shut down The Sun - what did he do?
The media magnate announced instead - that The Sun would not be closing down.
Not a bit of it - no.
In fact The Sun is to be published on a Sunday as well - in the very near future.
Just imagine - as if your life wasn't full enough - the Sun is about to shine on us for an extra day - and will soon liven up our traditional day of rest.
Say what you like about Murdoch - and plenty of people do - he didn't get where he is today by being an idiot - or following the crowd.
Maybe if his enemies learned to think that way too - the wouldn't find themselves trailing in his wake so often.
And I speak as someone who's never been invited to one of his famous slap up dinners in London - unlike most senior politicians in the UK.
I should probably add that - as far as I know - Rupe's wife (Wendi) has never been round to my 'gaff' for a slumber party either.
