Lots of great writing about Nicola Sturgeon's 'legacy' over the weekend, none better than Alex Massie's piece in the Sunday Times - his opening and final paragraphs hit the nail on the head.

"A new era beckons and not before time. Eight years in office is long enough for any politician. Like claret, there comes a point at which even the best cease improving and begin to become undrinkable.

XXXXXXXXX

"If the SNP wants to win its final victory it needs three things above all else: patience, fresh thinking and honesty. At present, it is lamentably deficient in all three and this, as much as anything else, is Sturgeon’s legacy."
