Badenoch Puts SNP Bullies and Hypocrites To Shame

UK equalities minister, Kemi Badenoch, puts the bullies and hypocrites in the SNP to shame with her fair and measured comments on Kate Forbes' views on equal marriage.

I support same sex marriage and I'm in favour of assisted dying as well, so long as there are proper safeguards in place to protect the vulnerable from exploitation.

To my mind MSPs should not stand in the way of well intended 'social reforms' which have come of age, unless there is a clear conflict of interest - a clash of rights.

As there is with self-ID which is being used as a Trojan Horse, by some disreputable men, as a means of invading women's single sex spaces - in sport, women's refuges, changing rooms and so on. 

The point is to debate the issues and disagree with Kate Forbes in a civilised fashion instead of demanding that she be disciplined by the SNP for holding views which some (including self-ID and gender zealots) find unacceptable.

And what better place to do that than an election hustings where the views of all candidates are subject to the cut and thrust of public debate?

After all Nicola Sturgeon regarded Kate Forbes as a fit and proper person to be her Finance Secretary, the 2nd top job in the Scottish Government - yet now an angry SNP mob is baying for blood while making the party look ridiculous.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
