World leaders have been queuing up to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden on his election victory in America while Donald Trump sulks in the White House.

French President Emmanuel Macron joins UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel - with the leaders of Australia, Japan and South Korea hot on their heels.

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday held his first telephone talks with Joe Biden since the Democrat was elected the next president of the United States, his Elysee Palace office said. 

The talks between Biden and Macron, who sought to form a solid working relationship with outgoing President Donald Trump, focused on international cooperation on the main global issues, it added.

"The president congratulated Joe Biden and his vice president Kamala Harris and emphasised his desire to work together on the current issues -- climate, health, the fight against terrorism and the defence of fundamental rights," the Elysee said.

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
