Flower Bakery - Still Going Strong

Flower Bakery in Glasgow's Govanhill is still going from strength to strength despite all the trials and tribulations Covid-19 has thrown at their new, start-up business.

Here's what we brought back from our latest visit - a quarter 'miche' loaf, a campagne loaf, macaroni pies, an apple crumble and a pear and gingerbread spelt cake.

The bakery has lots of other tasty treats on offer, the selection changes regularly and the bread freezes really well.

Lemon Curd Tart (14/06/20)

Lemon Curd Tart from the Flower Bakery in Govanhill - served with fresh cherries.

A vibrant, zingy taste sensation which comes highly recommended by 'The Duke'.

Flower Bakery at the corner of Langside Road and Dixon Avenue in Govanhill - well worth a visit.

Now That's What I Call A Loaf! (07/05/20)

Just bought a great 'miche' sourdough loaf from the Flower Bakery on the corner of Langside Road and Dixon Avenue in Govanhill.

Makes excellent 'Pan Con Tomate' - the famous tomato bread from Catalonia, as you can see from the photo below.

Recipe for Pan Con Tomate to follow.
