Lord Sugar of 'The Apprentice' fame has stopped into the ongoing row over welfare benefits, but in a way that is unlikely to please the leadership Labour Party who have struggled to get into step with voters over need to reform the present system.
Lord Sugar told The Sun newspaper:
'What annoys me the most is the total abuse of the benefits system. The claims culture. It is demoralising when you see stories about people who have lots of children who can't be bothered to work because they get more money from the system. That has to be sorted out.
'Before you know it they are on benefits, national health and all that stuff. You can solve it by having balls and standing up to Brussels.'
And Lord Sugar went on to add that Eastern European immigrants should have to live in Britain for 'three or four years' and have 'worked and contributed' to the welfare system before being entitled to claim any benefits.
One of the widespread abuses which has been causing so much controversy is the practice of people claiming relatively generous welfare benefits like child benefit for children who

Now that seems completely mad to most people and for good reason, yet it has been going on for years.
