Eda (Glasgow) - Big Night Out

Well, last night's 'Big Night Out' went down a real treat thanks to Eda - our local Turkish restaurant which is the best in Glasgow, if you ask me.

First of all, the view - we decided to have dinner on our balcony which overlooks Glasgow Green.

Next a glass of Efes, a thirst quenching Turkish lager, to get the evening underway.

Followed by Champagne since it was a special occasion.

Starters - we decided to row the boat out a bit with the following selection:

  • Cacik (diced cucumber mixed with yoghurt, mint and garlic)
  • Baba Ganoush (smoked aubergine, onion and tomato)
  • Falafel (chickpea patties served with a tahini sauce)
  • Arnavut Cigeri (pan fried cubes of lamb's liver with red onions and sumac)

A little of everything with some Turkish (Pide) bread

Mains - Veggie Moussaka and an Adana (minced lamb) Kebab from the south of Turkey, served with rice, Bulgar wheat, pickles, tomato, yoghurt and a spicy sauce.

A tasty plate of Turkish treats - and like all great takeaway food there was plenty left for the next day!

Time to relax

And enjoy the view.
