All Ed's Fault



John Rentoul wrote an excellent piece for The Independent on Sunday in which he rightly criticised those complaining about Tory 'mischief makers' entering the Labour leadership contest when it's crystal clear that the rule changes introduced by Ed Miliband have allowed the party to be hijacked from the left of UK politics. 

While Labour's old three-way 'electoral college' was an insult to democracy at least the MPs section injected some much needed balance into leadership contests by acting as a counterweight to Britain's union bosses (the Bubs) deciding the outcome, as they did in 2010 when Ed Miliband overturned the will of individual party members to become Labour leader.
