Exploiting the NHS
The press is having a field day with the story of a Nigerian woman - who came to the UK quite deliberately to give birth to her quintuplets.
After conceiving the babies in Africa - following a course of fertility treatment - which I imagine is not freely available under Nigeria's health care regime.
Understandably the newspapers are up in arms - with accusations of 'health tourism'.
Whereby people from abroad come to the UK for the sole purpose of exploiting - our 'free at the point of need' health care system.
For Bimbo Ayelabola (33) - proud new mother of three girls and two boys - this has paid off big time since she has no means of paying her medical and care bills - which could run to hundreds of thousands of pounds.
And to make matters Bimbo is refusing to return voluntarily to Nigeria - where her husband and the father of her five children still lives - and she has applied for an extension to her six month visitor's visa.
Now this is an exceptional case - a very difficult one for the authorities to deal with in some ways - at least without appearing cruel and heartless.
But at the same time most people will be appalled - at the way the health and care system can be so ruthlessly exploited.
Since the whole business appears to have been carefully planned and executed - right from the very start.
