Glasgow, DIY and Council Services
One person asked: "Why are we paying council tax?" https://t.co/wZdsYDAyZJ

Now I'm as publicly spirited as the next person, but I have to say I'm very cynical about Glasgow City Council's latest DIY approach to keeping our streets and public spaces clean.
SNP councillor Ruairi Kelly thinks it's a great idea, but I tend to agree with the chap who commented scathingly to the Glasgow Times:
"Pay council tax and then clean up for free. Aye very good. Try putting bins in the streets and parks in the first place."Glasgow needs a joined up strategy to tackle anti-social behaviour - litter, fly-tipping, graffiti - and the city's politicians need to get real because part of the solution is more bins, bigger bins and/or more frequently emptied bins.
He stressed the importance of new litter-picking hubs throughout the city.https://t.co/nafwoJIdKH
