Not So Funny Now

The two people in this photograph are Charles Saatchi, a former advertising tycoon  and his wife, the celebrity TV chef, Nigella Lawson. 

Now exactly what's going on here is unclear and it doesn't look like much fun - yet Charles Saatchi tried to explain the incident away as nothing more than a 'playful tiff'.

But this is just one in a series of revealing pictures - some of which show Mr Saatchi with his hands arounds Nigella's throat - so his explanation didn't really make any sense.

Which must be the same conclusion that the Met Police reached as well because since the widespread publication of the photos - Mr Saatchi attended a local police station on a voluntary basis and accepted a police caution in connection with the incident.

Despite the absence of a formal complaint from Nigella Lawson or anyone else - which strikes me as a very good thing because not that long ago the Police would almost certainly have refused to get involved.

So the motto of the story has to be - wise up keep your hands to yourself.
