Scotland's Drug Deaths
Working ongoing to map out the residential rehab capacity across Scotland says drugs minister. Work ongoing??? A junior researcher should be able to get that info in a week! And why didn’t the minister demand to know? This is amateurish, no it’s contemptuous. Doesn’t she care?? https://t.co/WDk9Fc7BBe

Fair comment on Scotland's drug deaths - the figures are down which is good although so they should be after all the extra resources which have been found after previous years of funding cuts.
But 1,000+ deaths a year is a dreadful toll and Scottish ministers now say they don't know the capacity of residential rehab facilities across Scotland - which is completely astonishing and sounds terribly complacent.
Even going on the improved figures Scotland's drug deaths have doubled in less than 10 years.
