Ricky Gervais - Taking A Stand On Self-ID

Joanna Cherry resolved her dispute with The Stand in what was a big victory for common sense and free speech.

I doubt The Stand is large enough for a big name like Ricky Gervais these days, but would Scotland's Thought Police try to blacklist Gervais for criticising the absurdity of men magically declaring themselves to be women?

And if this did happen, who in Scotland's 'artistic freedom' community would speak up on Ricky's behalf?



The Stand - Finally Sees Sense (May 15, 2023)

So The Stand has finally seen sense, made a public apology to Joanna Cherry and agreed that her event will now be reinstated.

An outbreak of common sense if you ask me, albeit in the face of an inevitable defeat in the courts.

Lorna Cherry should resign though over her idiotic public comments on the issue.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
