I am not a committed Labour supporter, quite the opposite in fact, as I supported the SNP for most of the past 16 years ever since they came to power in 2007.
But the SNP's fall from grace has to be good news for Scotland's democracy.
Because there's no doubt the party has treated voters with arrogance and contempt in recent years - over issues like self-ID, the ghost ferries scandal, education standards, NHS waiting lists and the SNP's alliance with the wacky Greens.
