Glasgow's Sky-Rocketing Care Charges


I've been contacted by a Glasgow citizen who pays a contribution to live independently in the community with the help of Community Lifestyles - an organisation which supports young people and adults with disabilities.

Glasgow City Council has just told Community Lifestyles to increase the contribution this individual pays towards their support from £2,990.40 to £5,363.28 a year - an astonishing, eye-watering increase of no less than 79% in a single year.

Now I know inflation is bad, but this is ludicrous and I understand the decision was taken by the Administration Committee chaired by SNP council leader Susan Aitken.

Needless to say this cannot stand - SNP led Glasgow needs a rocket over its sky-rocketing care charges!
