Updated at 2pm to provide the latest data on COVID-19 in Scotland. There will be no updates published on 25-28 December and 1-4 January. On Wednesday 29 December and Wednesday 5 January, we will provide the latest daily data for that day and the previous 4 days.


But yesterday (Monday) estimated figures were suddenly announced and Scottish Ministers - including Nicola Sturgeon, John Swinney and Humza Yousaf - started tweeting about them from their personal social media accounts.




What odd behaviour, especially as Scottish Ministers have some 55 spin doctors on the public payroll - yet the SNP seem to prefer government by a close-knit 'wee gang'.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
