The Times reports that the Scout Association has apologised to the women's rights campaigner Maya Forstater
Forstater said the complaint was vexatious, producing evidence that the standards commissioner for Scotland had temporarily banned Murray for calling feminist opponents “scum”.
Cllr Gregor Murray resigned from the SNP after accusing the party of institutional transphobia and while Murray now looks completely foolish he remains a councillor in Dundee and is presumably still a Scout leader.

Scotland’s only trans councillor suspended over ‘abusive tweets’ hours after quitting SNP over ‘transphobia’
A watchdog found Gregor Murray was in breach of the councillor's code of conduct and broke ethical standards
SCOTLAND'S only elected trans councillor has been suspended just hours after quitting the SNP over a trans row.
Gregor Murray said they no longer feel "welcome or safe" at the party due to 'institutionalised transphobia'.
The councillor faced a hearing today over abusive tweets - and was handed a two-month suspension.
A watchdog ruled they were in breach of the councillor's code of conduct and broke ethical standards by using abusive and vile language to and directed at members of the public.
Murray has been an outspoken supporter of trans rights and has clashed with SNP MPs and MSPs such as Joanna Cherry and Joan McAlpine.
McPalpine lodged an official complaint after criticism of her position on trans issues.
Murray told the Courier: "I am extremely sad to announce that after 18 years of giving everything I have, financially, physically and mentally to the SNP, that I feel I must now leave.
“As a trans person, I do not feel welcome, or safe within the party’s structure.
“For the past year, I have had absolutely no support from the party HQ while fighting a series of overwhelmingly vexatious and scurrilous complaints.
“They have been completely derelict in their duty of care towards me, and have not afforded me the same support as others in similar positions. I have been left entirely out of my depth dealing with legal matters I do not understand.”
The councillor praised “unwavering support” from the party in Dundee but accused the wider party of ignoring trans issues.
Murray added: “The SNP has a major institutional problem with transphobia, and is doing nothing to rectify this.
