Job Evaluation (JE) exercise
Thats exactly what I did. Have never needed them once and when a did need them to fight our case let down very badly with a take it or leave it attitude. Even told one of my fellow workers"can u not just take your money and enjoy it" disgraceful
Since there has been virtually no communication from the unions to those affected by the re-evaluation, simply leads us to assume that either we are 'dafties' who wouldn't understand the process or there is something 'fishy' going on. It has been proven that, last time round, a total mess was made of the gradings for certain jobs. Canny help but feel that we are going to have a wee case of 'deja vu' when the results are finally published. Why there is there a need for so much secrecy? Don't the council and the unions realise how much stress, frustration and anxiety they are causing? This whole fiasco has now gone on long enough. Time to come clean and let the workforce know exactly what is happening.
They wouldn't be so quick to ignore us if we all decided to cancel our union fees!!!
