Twisted Logic
I read somewhere earlier today about a female teaching assistant who was spared a jail sentence for having underage sex with a 15 year old boy - because the boy 'made the first move'.
Now this reminded me of a report from many years ago - in which a much older man tried to argue that he should escape prison - through a similar sort of twisted 'logic'
Because he said that his 14 year old sex partner was old beyond her years - and put her hands in his pants - not to put too fine a point on things.
In which case he was really the victim - and not the offender - would you believe.
But thankfully the prosecuting lawyer asked a wonderful question - 'How would you have reacted if this young girl - put her hand on your wallet?
To which the defendant had no answer - for obvious reasons.
So the motto of the story is that it really doesn't matter who makes the first move - the real question is who is the adult - and who's really in control of the situation?
Not a 15 year old boy or a 14 year old girl - that's for certain.
