Loving Too Much
Imagine a man - a boyfriend or husband - using the argument that he murdered his partner because he 'loved her too much'.
The argument might be that said man loved his wife or girlfriend so much - that he could not bear the thought of her being with someone else.
So he stabs her eight times in the chest - causing an untimely and painful death - but then in an act of remorse tried to kill himself - unsuccesfully as it happens.
Would I call that man wicked, evil or a monster - probably not - because those are the actions of someone who is seriously disturbed and probably mentally ill.
Why else would someone - in cold blood - set out to kill another human being that they profess to care for and love.
So I would not confuse the issue by saying that these people act out of love or kindness.
Because that is a complete cop out - and is simply not the case - in my opinion.
It's also terrible insult to the innocent victims and their families - who have to bear such a painful loss.
