Happy Mother's Day


I was puzzled about the number of visitors to the blog site yesterday - because there were noticeably fewer visitors than the day before (Saturday).

Now normally the flow of traffic is greater on a Sunday than it is on a Saturday - presumably because Saturday is more of a day for 'doing things' at the weekend - the household chores maybe, a spot of DIY perhaps, out shopping or chilling out with friends.

Then it dawned on me that yesterday was Mother's Day - in the UK anyway - which is one of those 'event' days in the calendar that differs from country to country.

So I hope the 'missing' visitors were either too busy being spoiled by their children - or were too busy doing the spoiling themselves.

I'll know for sure next week.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
