Dolly the Sheep


A reader from North Lanarkshire has been in touch to say she thinks that many of its local councillors - have turned into sheep.

Why?

Because having raised the council's foot dragging antics over equal pay with her own local councillor - she gets an almost identical response to the one she received from the Labour council leader - Jim McCabe.

Understandably the reader is unimpressed that her elected councillor appears unable to think indpendently for himself - and has to resort to 'cut and paste' to answer her enquiry. 

'Says so much or so little about our elected authority!' - she says.

Before adding - 'Nothing bar sheep!'


So she's gone off to contact her local MSP - who is Alex Neil I believe - and plans write a letter to her local paper about the 'clones' - who now appear to be running North Lanarkshire Council.

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
