To Govern Is To Choose

The abolition of student fees in Scotland represents a huge transfer of wealth from the 'less well off' to the 'better off'.

So Scottish politicians and the voters have some tough choices to make given the poor state of the public finances.

SNP - 'Mr&Mrs' Politburo

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
