Edinburgh Book Festival

The Women Who Wouldn't Wheesht organised their own book event yesterday - for some reason Edinburgh's literary establishment had not welcomed them with open arms even though 'TWWWW' is on The Sunday Times bestseller list.

And what an enthralling, inspiring couple of hours which heard Lucy HunterBlackburn and Susan Dalgety tell the story of how the book came to be, how it was put together and why it matters so much to Scotland's politics.

Marion Calder from For Women Scotland and MSP Tess White MSP chaired a great question and answer session which highlighted the stories of other contributors to TWWWW - and their part in the ongoing fight to defend women's rights.

More to follow.
