ScotGov, John Swinney and Loadsamoney

Astonishing figures show that while SNP ministers insist the Scottish Government's coffers are bare John Swinney & Co presided over a 51% increase in the devolved civil service between 2019 and 2024.

That's an awful lot of people and must cost the public purse hundreds of millions of pounds!

Jim Sillars is spot on about the dreadful personality cult which allowed Peter Murrell and Nicola Sturgeon to run the SNP as a 'Mr & Mrs' tag team for years. What's astonishing is that SNP members - party activists, councillors, MSPs and MPs - turned a blind eye to things for so long  which helps explain why the SNP is in such a terrible mess today.
