Scotland, Politics and Comedy
Does anyone else find it very unsavoury that Nicola Sturgeon spoke up for her friend and SNP supporter Janey Godley - yet the First Minister has had nothing to say about the decision to censor and ban Jerry Sadowitz?
Scottish Ministers - Government By Gang? (February 14, 2022)
Janey Godley was sacked from her lucrative ScotGov in early September 2021 which means that the process of awarding this contract must have got underway months earlier.
Yet at that time, Janey Godley was appearing at campaign launches for both Nicola Sturgeon and the soon-to-be health minister, Humza Yousaf.
Now if you ask me, this smacks of nepotism and good old-fashioned Tammany Hall politics.
So I wonder if this close political relationship was declared and taken into account at the time the contract award was under discussion?

Nicola Sturgeon hired Janey Godley for Covid campaign despite knowing her politics could hurt it
NICOLA Sturgeon signed off a £10,000 contract for a Nationalist comedian to front a government Covid campaign despite admitting her politics could blunt its impact.
The First Minister approved the deal even though Janey Godley was seen as being "on one side of the political debate in Scotland”, meaning she “may not speak to the maximum number of people”.

Did You Come Up The Clyde On A Bicycle? (December 19, 2021)
Not many Glaswegians have come up the Clyde on a bicycle though we are renowned for our great sense of humour - which is just as well.
Because we are being asked to believe that Janey Godley's appointment to a starring TV role by Scottish Ministers was solely about promoting a public health message - and had nothing to do with promoting Nicola Sturgeon, the SNP and independence.
Did You Come Up the Clyde on a Bicycle? (October 06, 2021)
It's amazing how all these SNP luminaries (including the First Minister) were totally unaware, allegedly, of Janey Godley's ghastly behaviour on social media.
I mean even I knew and I was blocked on Twitter by Janey long ago, just for 'pulling her leg', but do all her followers and friends in high places think the rest of us came up the Clyde on a bicycle?
