SNP, Covid and Double Standards
Condescending Nicola Sturgeon singled out Celtic and Aberdeen but Rangers treatment highlights her inconsistency | @chris_sutton73 https://t.co/lWUnWzPDk0

Chris Sutton hits the nail on the head with his column in the Daily Record:
"Nicola Sturgeon and the Holyrood establishment are out of order with their kicking of Scottish football.
"And to make matters worse they are not being even-handed with it."
The issue is not about being harder on Rangers - the issue is why football clubs are being held to a higher standard of accountability than other organisations including, of course, the SNP itself.
For example, I keep asking why the SNP's Kenny MacAskill has not been hauled over the coals for defying the Covid rules which required everyone to 'Stay Home - Don't Travel' at Christmas (see posts below dated 17, 04 , 03 and 01 February 2021).
But so far I have been unable to come up with a credible answer.
SNP, Scottish Football and Double Standards (20/02/21)
I'd like to know why Scottish football teams are held directly accountable for the irresponsible behaviour of players off the field of play - yet the SNP lets its MPs and MSPs off Scot-free?
Margaret Ferrier and Derek Mackay are still members of the SNP.
I suspect the only reason Rangers FC are not under more attack is that the SNP want to avoid another public bust-up with the other half of the Old Firm ahead of the Scottish Parliament elections in May.
