The School Run

Rex
I saw this amazing photo in one of the national newspapers last week - it's the rather scary journey that schoolkids have to make in the remote village of Zhangg Jaiwan in the Hunan province of China.

If parents were to make their kids walk the long way round - insetad of using these precarious ladders as a shortcut - the journey would take four hours.

I imagine it must be a pretty tough trip going back home - having to climb up all those steps and, of course, it gives a whole new meaning to the term - the school run.
