Scottish Legal Awards


Great news for all Action 4 Equality Scotland (A4ES) clients.

Last week our friends in Fox and Partners Solicitors swept the boards at the Scottish Legal Awards last week - winning Employment Team of the Year and Specialist Lawyer of the Year in Carol Fox.

So many congratulations to Carol - and all the other staff at Fox and Partners.

As regular readers will recall, A4ES first arrived on the scene back in 2005 and - at that time - equal pay was dead in the water.

No claims were being raised against council employers - inside or outside the Employment Tribunal process - and there were no strikes, national demonstrations or big campaigns.

All was calm - and the trade unions were as quiet as little church mice.

Then, all of a sudden, low paid workers had another choice - of pursuing an equal pay claim on a 'No Win No Fee' basis with A4ES.

Which many people started to do, after being having been kept deliberately in the dark for so long - by both the council employers and the trade unions.

And now all the work done by Fox and Partners - including the support provided to A4ES clients in the Employment Tribunals - has been recognised by the Scottish legal profession.
