Glasgow Update
Here's another update from Fox Cross Solicitors - on the Compromise Agreement challenge involving Glasgow City Council - the case is now known as McWilliams and others v GCC.
As regular readers know this case has been appealed to the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
I will explain the background again - to refresh people's memories - by putting the original post back up on the blog site.
In the meantime here's the latest news and advice.
Glasgow City Council - Compromise Agreement Cases –now McWilliams and others v GCC
Following the PHR decision on McWilliams and others v GCC we lodged an appeal at the EAT in Edinburgh.
Dates have now been scheduled at the EAT in Edinburgh on 9th and 10th March 2011.
Preparations are underway and we have instructed Mr. Jonathan Mitchell QC.
We will shortly be writing again to all clients who signed a 2005 Compromise agreement with the Council to explain about further procedures.
It is very important that we have all relevant documentation from existing claimants who signed these agreements. We requested copies from the Council but this was refused.
So if you have not already provided a copy of your 2005 agreement please look through your papers.
You should receive our letter by mid October to allow further preparations to be undertaken.
