Women Have A Right To Single Sex Spaces

The Herald coverage of the Sandie Peggie employment tribunal has been outstanding and the paper is right to warn of the danger of putting the onus on women to object - if men are given access to their single sex spaces.
No such duty exists in other areas of public life where long established policies emphasise that sexist, racist or homophobic behaviour will not be tolerated by employers and service providers.
So why should women have to complain, on their own or in large numbers, before their rights to privacy, dignity and safety will be respected?
