Excellent column from Alex Massie on the controversial Sandie Peggie tribunal decision which is out of step with the UK Supreme Court ruling on biological sex and single sex spaces.

"The Supreme Court confirmed as much as recently as April when it reiterated that the law understands that the definition of 'woman' is, in terms of equalities legislation, restricted to people born female. Women cannot become men and men will have to make do with being men. "

In terms of single-sex spaces, the court was very clear that “the plain intention of these provisions is to allow for the provision of separate or single-sex services for women which exclude all (biological) men (or vice versa)”.

Here's an astonishing email which has been sent to the 'Council Family' at Glasgow City Council by the council's chief executive Annemarie O'Donnell.
