What A Waste Of Public Money!

The Scottish government spent an eye-watering £30,000 on alternative accommodation for the Yousaf family while Bute House was being repaired last year - but why?
Humza and his wife live in Broughty Ferry, on the outskirts of Dundee, Nadia is a local councillor in Dundee and their children presumably go to school in Dundee.
So why would they possibly need somewhere else to stay very occasionally during that short period instead of being chauffeur-driven back to Dundee - or being put up in an Edinburgh hotel?
