Humza and Jason - A Couple of Dodgers

Like most Scots I was often irritated by the face mask rules during Covid - especially when other people in your shared spaces were flouting the rules and treating the business of wearing masks as a joke!

So it is really infuriating to hear that while acting as health minister Humza Yousaf was coached on how to 'exempt' himself from the rules by none other than Jason Leitch, Scotland's clinical director during Covid.

The same Jason Leitch who was wheeled out to excuse Nicola Sturgeon and her team for not wearing face masks during an SNP election stunt - when the wearing of masks was compulsory.

The Chair of the UK Covid Inquiry, Baroness Hallett, seems like a no nonsense kind of person and must be pulling her hair out at the dissembling drivel coming out of senior civil servants like Ken Thomson - a Director General in the SNP led Scottish Government.

In the example below the Scottish Government's National Clinical Director, Jason Leitch, was wheeled out to defend Nicola Sturgeon for not wearing a face mask during an SNP election stunt - which was about party politics not the business of government.

Jason Leitch is now famous for dutifully deleting all of his WhatsApp messages before going to bed every night!

SNP - Conspiracy of Silence

So here's the issue - two Glasgow MSPs (Nicola Sturgeon and Humza Yousaf) have been asked a reasonable question about their use of public money to employ two SNP councillors who already have full-time, salaried jobs as senior elected members of Glasgow City Council.   But these two public servants (both long-serving ministers) refuse to answer, so what to do next? One regular reader suggests raising the matter on the floor of the Scottish Parliament which is a good idea, but requires an MSP who's prepared to put down a written question for Scottish Ministers to answer.
