Civil Servants Running 'Defence' For Sturgeon
Baroness Hallett finally loses patience with Thomson's obfuscation, and asks for a straight answer, to the question of the SNP's new policy in May 2021 of renewing pursuit of independence by blaming Westminster and pretending Scotgov were streets ahead performance-wise. https://t.co/Qljxh67YYI pic.twitter.com/FQuaTBkMZ1

The Chair of the UK Covid Inquiry, Baroness Hallett, seems like a no nonsense kind of person and must be pulling her hair out at the dissembling drivel coming out of senior civil servants like Ken Thomson - a Director General in the SNP led Scottish Government.
In the example below the Scottish Government's National Clinical Director, Jason Leitch, was wheeled out to defend Nicola Sturgeon for not wearing a face mask during an SNP election stunt - which was about party politics not the business of government.
Jason Leitch is now famous for dutifully deleting all of his WhatsApp messages before going to bed every night!
Independent Civil Servants and Party Politics (April 21, 2022)
Scotland's civil servants are required to stay out of party politics, for good and obvious reasons.
So what was Jason Leitch doing defending Nicola Sturgeon over an idiotic SNP election stunt which had nothing whatsoever to do with the Scottish Government?
Government By Gang (April 18, 2022)
Civil servants are not allowed to criticise politicians or voice their personal opinions - yet this craven individual is wheeled out to defend and excuse the First Minister.
More gang like behaviour from the Scottish Government.
