Cronyism, Prejudice and Scottish Politics
In the wake of the First Minister's cronyism row, involving the use of Bute House and Val McDermid, I was reminded that the FM also gave one of her advisers a very helpful plug on social media recently.
A few months ago the First Minister retweeted a post to her 1.4 million Twitter followers which drew their attention to a new book by Devi Sridhar (a controversial figure) - the kind of advertising that money can't buy, as they say
So is Nicola Sturgeon really doing her best to promote Scotland, without regard to people's politics and outlook, or is she only interested in promoting those who are seen to be supportive of the SNP?

Nicola Sturgeon promotes a book written by one of the Scottish Government's 'independent' advisers (the politicking prof Devi Sridhar) - by retweeting a Twitter advert to her 1.4 million followers.
What an extraordinary way for the First Minister behave - seems like politicians have no qualms about using social media to promote their own vested interests these days.
If Boris Johnson behaved in this way, the SNP would have plenty to say - and rightly so!
